Finnish fish production company Finnforel is making a significant leap into international markets by building a new fish farm in Abu Dhabi! According to Helsingin Sanomat, the Abu Dhabi state fund ADQ has signed a €75 million agreement with Finnforel for the construction and financing of the facility.

Finnforel’s current facility operates in Varkaus, where rainbow trout are farmed in innovative indoor tanks located in a former paper mill. Now, this cutting-edge technology and ecological production method will be introduced to the Kezad Free Trade Zone in Abu Dhabi, an area with a strong focus on aquaculture projects.
